Despite that PERSASSIA kennel was established and formally registered with the FCI in 2007, it was actually back in 1991 that I first started with German Shorthaired Pointers when my parents bought for me a nice black and white puppy bitch. It was love at first sight and since then I have dedicated myself to the Deutsch Kurzhaar breed. Unlike most of the so called ‘breeders' in Cyprus, it is our only breed and our passion. During the last 4 years we have been showing, breeding and working German Shorthaired Pointers and through our close relationships with the best breeders in Europe, we have invested in the best bloodlines from the Germany, Poland, France, Serbia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Holland.
In Cyprus we have an enviable record of competition at the highest levels in field and show competition with dogs owned/produced by our Kennel. We pride ourselves on our exacting standards and our knowledge of this remarkable breed.
Our dogs are constantly dominating at shows and field trials, and particularly during the last 4 years Kurzhaar specialist have ALWAYS chosen our dogs and this makes us without doubt the top kennel in German Shorthaired Pointers in Cyprus. We thank all the judges for thinking so highly of our dogs.
All our litters are carefully planned as to produce healthy, strong, confident, well-balanced puppies that undoubtedly will make reliable versatile hunting dogs.
On a personal point, I have been involved in the world of dogs in many ways. I have been serving as a member of the Cyprus Kennel Club since 2001, and I have been its Secretary General since 2008. I have also been a founder member of the Limassol Canine Association and The Dobermann Club of Cyprus, as well as a Board Member of the Cyprus Kurzhaar Club and a regular member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Cyprus. Also I participated as a member of the disciplinary committee of the Cyprus Kennel Club and the Kurzhaar Club of Cyprus and currently I am the president of the Group 7 Committee of the Cyprus Kennel Club and during my term I was the organiser of 2 speciality shows and the first International Field Trials (CACIT) organised by the Cyprus Kennel Club.
